The National Domestic Violence Hotline received almost 1800 contacts from Nevada in 2015, placing the rank 23rd when it comes to volume.
Phone calls made up the single biggest group while online chat, a distant third. Of the contacts made, just over 66% were made by the victim or the victims’ survivor. The abused partner made contact barely under 2% of the time.
The most commonly requested service was domestic violence shelters with 24% of the callers requesting safe harbor.
