DMAIC, 5S and 8 Wastes are the procedures that are data-driven problem-solving methodologies used. These are an integral part of Lean initiatives. 8 Waste- When not adding value procedures are removed and only value-adding steps that are required are left to provide improved and satisfactory products or services. These 8 Waste includes Defects, overproduction, waiting, non-utilised talent, extra processing, idle inventory, unnecessary transportation, an unnecessary motion may be due to product misplace.
