Malcolm X. el-Hajj Malik el-Shabazz. Malcolm Little. No matter the name, the world knows the meaning: A powerful voice for the African-American liberation movement, where his contributions to civil rights redefined them by challenging previous nonviolent methodologies. His tenure as the voice of the Nation of Islam (NOI) with its leader, Elijah Muhammad, both impressed crowds as a dedicated, charismatic revolutionary and beleaguered him with accusations of racism and divisiveness. Despite this, and his assassination at the hands Nation of Islam members, his name and legacy will forever remain in the hearts of humanity. Here’s his story.
