Most of the coffee in the world is grown in a very narrow region around the equator. Major coffee producing countries include Guatemala, Costa Rica, Columbia, Peru, Brazil, Ethiopia, Kenya, Sumatra and Java. Generally speaking coffee grown in the Tropic of Cancer is usually more expensive than that produced in the tropic of Capricorn. Brazil, Java and Costa Rica have the greatest export ratios of coffee. You’ll find many different flavor notes in each region from Fruity and sweet to citrus acidic with chocolate and cherry notes after you swallow.
